Guided setup.
Our team connects it with you, usually within 1-2 business days. Connect opens a short form: what you want it to do, the
best time to reach you, and who your n8n admin is. We schedule the setup with you, test it
on your account, and then turn it on for callers.
Setup steps
- Choose Connect. A short guided-setup form opens, and our team takes it from there.
- In n8n, add a Webhook node and copy its production address.
- Add that address on the Webhooks page in the app and pick the events you want.
- We check the first events arrive in n8n with you and confirm on your ticket.
What the AI can do
- Nothing changes on the call: n8n gets the details after the call, voicemail or message.
- Every event is signed so your workflow can check it came from TimberSwitch.
What it can't do, and limits
- Guided setup: our team connects it with you and tests it on your account before callers rely on it.
- It uses our webhooks and n8n's Webhook node. n8n has no built-in signature check, so we give you a small Code node that checks it.
- n8n acts after the call; it doesn't change what happens on a live call.
Troubleshooting
Does it work with self-hosted n8n?
Yes, as long as your n8n server can be reached over HTTPS from the internet.
Is this different from webhooks?
It uses the same signed webhooks, set up for n8n with our help.
Does it work on the Phone package?
Yes, like webhooks, Zapier and Make.
Disconnecting, and the data we keep
An owner or admin can disconnect at any time from Phone, then Connectors, in the app. Disconnecting stops TimberSwitch using n8n straight away.
- The n8n webhook address you add, stored like any webhook.
- A delivery log for each event: time, event type and response code.
- Removing the webhook stops deliveries straight away.
Still stuck?
Get help: it opens an Integration support ticket. Include the time of the call and what you expected to happen.
