Booking turns on with the AI receptionist. We connect Zenoti now; until that is switched on for your line, the receptionist takes a message instead.
Setup steps
- Choose Connect. A short guided-setup form opens, and our team takes it from there.
- Your Zenoti admin creates a backend app (Configuration, Integrations, Apps) and generates an API key with booking and guest permissions.
- An owner or admin pastes it into the secure key form on the Connectors page in the app. Never by email.
- Tell us the centers and services; we test with you and confirm on your ticket.
Sending us your API key. Never email it or paste it in a ticket. A workspace owner or admin pastes it into the secure key form on the Connectors page in the app (choose Paste your API key next to Zenoti). It is stored encrypted and we only ever show its last 4 characters.
Permissions we ask for, and why
- Read services, therapists and slots: So the AI offers real open times at the center the caller wants.
- Read guests: So the AI recognises a returning guest.
- Reserve, confirm and reschedule bookings: So the AI books or moves only after the guest confirms.
What the AI receptionist will do
- Will check open slots for the service and center.
- Will reserve, read back and confirm only after the guest says yes.
- Will move only the guest's own booking.
What it can't do, and limits
- Guided setup: our team connects it with you and tests it on your account before callers rely on it.
- Your Zenoti admin creates the API key; it lasts a year and needs renewing.
- Cancellations and deposits follow your Zenoti policies; the AI takes a message where a fee applies.
The AI says something is booked or ordered only when Zenoti confirms it. If Zenoti doesn't answer in time, the AI takes a message instead and tells the caller someone will follow up.
Troubleshooting
Does the key expire?
Zenoti keys last a year. We remind you before it runs out.
Can it book across centers?
Yes, for the centers you choose.
Disconnecting, and the data we keep
An owner or admin can disconnect at any time from Phone, then Connectors, in the app. Disconnecting stops TimberSwitch using Zenoti straight away.
- An encrypted copy of your key. We only show its last 4 characters.
- A log of each booking change: time, Zenoti id and a masked caller number.
- Deleting the key removes it straight away.
Still stuck?
Get help: it opens an Integration support ticket. Include the time of the call and what you expected to happen.
