Booking turns on with the AI receptionist. We connect Curve Dental now; until that is switched on for your line, the receptionist takes a message instead.

What it will do on a call

1. A caller asks for an appointment. The receptionist checks open times in Curve Dental, offers two or three, reads the one they pick back to them and books it only after they say yes.
2. A caller needs to move or cancel. The receptionist finds the booking that matches the number they are calling from and changes it in Curve Dental once they confirm.
3. A returning customer calls. The receptionist recognises the number in Curve Dental and greets them by first name, without reading out anything private.

How setup works

Guided setup: our team connects it with you and tests it on your account before callers rely on it. Our team connects it with you, usually within 1-2 business days. It's part of our free assisted setup, on every package.

1. Choose Connect. A short guided-setup form opens; our team confirms the HIPAA business associate agreement first.
2. If your practice isn't on NexHealth yet, we arrange it; NexHealth installs its synchronizer for Curve Dental.
3. Tell us the providers, operatories, visit types and lengths the AI may book.
4. We test with you, then turn on booking, moving and cancelling, and confirm on your ticket.

What it costs

A paid add-on, because the vendor charges per call or per location. The price is set when it launches.

Good to know

• Guided setup: our team connects it with you and tests it on your account before callers rely on it.
• We connect through NexHealth, which syncs with Curve Dental. NexHealth charges per API call, about 30 to 50 cents per booking, so this is a paid add-on.
• Only once your office and TimberSwitch have signed a HIPAA business associate agreement. We don't sign BAAs yet, so this stays switched off until we do.
• Curve Dental does not offer outside developers a direct connection, so NexHealth is the only path we offer.
• Only patients already on file can be booked; new patients get a message and a callback.
