Our team connects it with you, usually within 1-2 business days. Choose Connect, answer three quick questions, and a setup specialist schedules a short session with your PetPoint admin, connects it and tests it on your account before callers rely on it. Anything 24Pet needs first, such as a plan level or partner approval, is listed under Good to know.

Answering availability questions turns on with the AI receptionist. We connect PetPoint now; until that is switched on for your line, the receptionist takes a message instead.

What the AI receptionist will do on calls

  • Will look the animal up by name or id in PetPoint and say whether it is available, on hold or adopted.
  • Will point callers to your adoption application and hours.
  • Will take a message for anything else, such as surrenders or lost pets, and route urgent calls to staff.

How setup works

Guided setup: our team connects it with you and tests it on your account before callers rely on it. Our team connects it with you, usually within 1-2 business days. It's part of our free assisted setup, on every package.

  1. Choose Connect. A short guided-setup form opens, and our team takes it from there.
  2. Ask PetPoint support to enable web services for your shelter, then find the authorization key in PetPoint's admin settings.
  3. An owner or admin pastes it into the secure key form on the Connectors page in the app. Never by email.
  4. We test lookups with you and confirm on your ticket.
